• Direct from granules printer mid print.

This printer was designed to print a highly flexible material, directly from the granules that the material is supplied in industrially. This allows the customer to change specifications of the material more easily as there is no extra step to prepare it for use in the printer. This printer was constructed on a very tight time scale, in order to meet a deadline for the customer. Some of the parts, for example the extrusion head, were built by others. My job was to take this work and make a usable machine for the customers rapid prototyping. Repairs and modifications to the machine are conducted on an ongoing basis as the customer’s needs change.
